The Southport Junior Yacht Club Sailing Foundation is pleased to be the Organizing Authority for the 2023 Maine State Opti Championship Regatta!  Join us on Wednesday & Thursday,  August 2 & 3 at the Southport Yacht Club to witness the enthusiasm and skill of Maine's Opti sailors.  We expect 45 excited sailors in the Championship and Green Fleets. Our volunteers look forward to welcoming sailors from across the State, for a memorable regatta racing on the Sheepscot River.

The Notice of Race includes a schedule of events and important information if you are planning to join us. The 2023 Notice of Race & Registration can be found through the Regatta Management Solutions at the website below.  Registration is online only, open thruough July 29, 2023.

Once you register for the regatta, you will receive a link to order your regatta t-shirts. On the site you can upgrade to a long sleeve or hooded shirt as well as customize with name and sail number for additional cost. If you register by July 11, 2023, your shirt can be picked up at the regatta. If you miss the deadline, we will open the store again and you can ship to your house. 

SYC Members: Help make our club shine! We need volunteers to help with parking, launching, serving lunches, getting spectators on the water and hosting some traveling sailors and coaches overnight.  Please reach out to regatta chairs Chace Brinegar or Maddie Rideout.
