The Southport Junior Yacht Club Sailing Foundation is pleased to be the Organizing Authority for the 2022 Maine State Opti's Championship Regatta! Join us on Monday, August 15th at the Southport Yacht Club to witness the enthusiasm and skill of Maine's Opti sailors. We expect 65 excited sailors in the Championship and Green Fleets. Our volunteers look forward to welcoming sailors from across the State, for a memorable day of racing on the Sheepscot River.

Once you register for the regatta, you will receive a link to order your regatta t-shirts. On the site you can upgrade to a long sleeve or hooded shirt as well as customize with name and sail number for additional cost. If you order your shirt by July 28th, it can be picked up at the regatta. If you miss the deadline, we will open the store again and you can ship to your house. Registration is online only, with a registration deadline of Saturday, August 13th at 6:00 p.m.

IF YOU ARE REGISTERING BOTH CHILDREN AND ADULTS, YOU WILL NEED TO DO COMPLETE TWO SEPARATE TRANSACTIONS BECAUSE THE PRICES ARE DIFFERENT. AFTER THE ADULTS ARE REGISTERED, HIT "CONFIRM" AND THEN CREATE A NEW REGISTRATION FOR THE KIDS. Don't be misguided by the three checked boxes-check only one type of registration with each transaction or the system will charge you incorrectly. You may have to enter payment information twice but will only be charged the correct amount.

SYC Rock the Boat is a 5K (3.1 mile) Run/Walk near Cozy Harbor on Southport Island, Maine. SYC famililes, sailing program families and community members are encouraged to participate.

Strollers and babies are welcome. Pick up your tshirt and bib on Friday, August 5, from 8:30-930, 12-1 or 4-6 pm at Southport Yacht Club.

No refunds will be given for any reason. The race will be held regardless of the weather. Please walk or ride bikes to the race as parking is limiting. The race will be professionally timed by Bart Timing of Auburn. Event fees:

Adults 17 and up: $20

Children 16 and under: $10

Add $5 per registration on race day, August 6.

Note: When registering additional participants, the form refers to these as "guests".

Online registration will close on August 5 at 5:00 pm. The first 150 participants will receive a race tshirt.

Race proceeds will benefit the Southport Junior Yacht Club Sailing Foundation.
